Hey everyone,
I know I published something already last week, and don’t worry this is absolutely not about to become a weekly newsletter. But I wanted to just send a very quick note to let you know about an experiment I’m trying, in case you have ideas that I can support.
Lately I’ve been thinking and writing about how to do great creative work in moments of high uncertainty and chaos, like the one we’re in. Last week I published a short piece on the framework I developed while cooking (semi)professionally, and now I’m trying a small experiment. I’m giving away 5k to 5 people with an idea for how to foster some collaboration between builders that care about community ownership.
I know a lot of you are builders yourself, and so you know that the hardest part about collaboration isn’t motivation — builders want and benefit from helping each other. The hardest part is finding fun and interesting ways to create those connections. Especially as work moves digital-first, that gets even harder. As bad as a stiff IRL networking event can be, the virtual version is worse.
Check the link for more details and to submit an idea, or just reply to this if you want to shape up an idea together. The form itself should take 5 minutes, and I’d encourage ideas that are small and fun — one thing I’ve learned is to never underestimate the difficulty, and value, of creating genuine connections between even just a few people. Selfishly, I’d love to connect with a few of you via this myself.
Thanks and happy building,
-Joey
P.S. please feel free to send this to anyone, or any communities that you think would be interested.
